Executive summary
A local NIS2 readiness service for small and mid-size firms has a real angle. But it only works if the founder can earn buyers' trust and hand over work a board can sign off on.

Two things pull this market. Under Article 20, senior managers are personally on the hook. Fines reach €7M or 1.4% of turnover for important entities and €10M or 2% for essential ones. And there's a big gap between pricey consultants and do-it-yourself tools.
- Sell it country by country and sector by sector. Don't try to cover the whole EU on day one.
- AI can draft most of the documents you produce again and again. But you still need a security or GRC expert reviewing the work, or nobody will trust it.
- Your best first buyers are non-technical SME management teams in covered sectors who haven't yet figured out whether the rules apply to them or what they have to do.
