A subscription that helps families coordinate care can ride Europe's shift toward home care. But it only wins if you keep it simple, trustworthy, and narrow when you launch.

Europe's care market is big and growing. Home care is growing faster than nursing homes and institutions. And as skilled carers stay in short supply, more of the coordinating falls on families.

This suits a patient founder. It's mostly software, it speaks to a real emotional need, and people will likely stick with it. But it won't make money fast, and you need one narrow first use case before you can build a broader platform.

Start with one thing: a calm shared hub for meds, appointments, whose turn it is to do what, and updates. It's for adult children splitting a parent's care between siblings and paid carers.

AI (software that does jobs people usually do) helps most with coordination and automation. It won't solve the core trust problem. So a small team gets real leverage on the product, but not an easy way to reach customers.

There's a lot of care software and family apps out there. Still, the research shows a gap: enterprise care management on one side, consumer family coordination on the other, and not much in between.
